Her dissertation, Analytical Advancements In Water Quality Assessment: A Study In The Investigation of SARS-CoV-2 RNA In Wastewater and Mitigation of Contaminants of Emerging Concern In Stormwater, expanded analytical methods for environmental research. Brandi is a passionate advocate for environmental justice and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within STEM education.

Originally from Montgomery County, Maryland; Andy moved to Philadelphia from Charleston, SC in 2022 where she traded in her surfboard for a bicycle. A proud graduate of Temple University with a BA in Sociology, Andy first began working at Clean Water Action as a part-time field canvasser in August 2024 following a study abroad in Germany where she studied the European model for addressing the climate crisis. Since then, she has become the Philadelphia Field Canvass Director where she liaises with the Pennsylvania Program staff to work on important environmental issues like Environmental
