New England Budget Coordinator
Nicole Estey is the New England Budget Coordinator for Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund. Based in western Massachusetts, she brings a strong blend of financial knowledge and a deep commitment to environmental protection to her role, supporting financial and administrative operations across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
After graduating from Westfield State University, Nicole worked in an environmental testing laboratory, where she performed organic extractions and analyzed contaminants in soil and water, gaining hands-on experience and valuable insight into the real-world impacts of pollution and the importance of environmental protection. She later developed a strong financial and administrative skill set through roles in accounts receivable, nonprofit fundraising and gift processing, and most recently as a grants bookkeeper in the public education sector.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors walking, hiking, biking, and being by the ocean. She also enjoys coffee, baking, art, listening to music, and writing. Whenever she is able, Nicole volunteers at shoreline cleanups and is deeply motivated by protecting clean water and healthy ecosystems. She is excited to bring together her passion for environmental advocacy with her financial and administrative expertise in support of Clean Water Action’s mission.
