2026 Yale Environmental Fellow
Jagur Parks is a rising junior at Yale University pursuing a double major in American Studies and Environmental Studies, and is a 2026 Yale Conservation Scholar – Early Leadership initiative. His work centers on environmental policy, agricultural advocacy, and community organizing at the local and national levels.
At Yale, Jagur serves as Co-President of the Yale Student Environmental Coalition, Yale's oldest and largest student environmental organization, where he leads a 16-member executive board representing a coalition of 100+ active members, manages $20,000+ organizational return on endowment, and distributes $4,000+ in grants to student sustainability initiatives. He also serves as Youth and Family Lead and Board Member at Link New Haven, where he spearheaded a campaign to improve access to sanitary products and basic needs resources across New Haven.
Beyond campus, Jagur works with Anishinaabe Legal Aid and currently works as a National Campaigns Summer Fellow at Clean Water Action in Washington, D.C. He has previously researched PFAS contamination affecting communities in South Dakota and has lobbied for federal USDA grant funding supporting precision agriculture. Earlier, he served as a U.S. Senate Page and as Chair of the Rapid City Youth City Council, where he managed a $30,000 municipal youth budget and authored policy memoranda to the City Council.
After graduation, Jagur plans to attend law school to specialize in environmental and federal Indian law.
