Election day is 4 short weeks away – do you have a plan to vote?

Clean Water Action is endorsing environmental champion incumbents and promising new candidates in Frederick County and Baltimore County to advance our work at the County and State levels! 

We’re proud to announce our endorsement of four new candidates for State House and Senate in Frederick County's District 4! As we work to advance environmental justice, Zero Waste, septic system, and safer chemicals policies in Annapolis, we hope to work with these candidates running for office now:

  • District 4: Jerry Donald for Delegate
  • District 4: Andrew Duck for Delegate
  • District 4: Alleria Stanley for Delegate
  • District 4: Lara Westdorp for Senate

We also are proud to endorse seven state legislator incumbents from these two counties who have championed our work on promoting Zero Waste, ending subsidies for trash incinerators, giving transparency to people living near contaminated Superfund sites, creating protections from PFAS and other toxic chemicals, and protecting clean water, clean air, and healthy communities:

  • District 3: Delegate Kris Fair
  • District 3: Senator Karen Lewis Young
  • District 8: Delegate Nick Allen
  • District 11B: Delegate Dana Stein
  • District 11: Senator Shelly Hettleman
  • District 42B: Delegate Michele Guyton
  • District 44B: Delegate Sheila Ruth

Finally, we are excited to endorse four new County Council candidates with great promise to work for a clean environment and protect Frederick County from data center development.

  • Baltimore County Council District 3: Makeda Scott
  • Frederick County Council District 1: Louisa Conklin
  • Frederick County Council District 2: Jamie Shopland
  • Frederick County Council District 3: Christian Benford

Do you have a plan to vote? If you signed up to vote by mail, your ballot should be on its way or in your mailbox already. If you want to vote by mail but haven't yet signed up, click here to request your mail-in ballot – you have until Tuesday 10/27 to request your ballot be mailed or faxed to you, or Friday 10/30 to download and print your ballot.
