The Michiganders for Money out of Politics (MMOP) proposal to ban monopoly utilities and major government contractors from spending on state/local politics has made the ballot as Proposal 2!
But we haven’t won yet.The corporations benefiting from our current “pay to play” politics have millions to spend against our grassroots campaign.
The good news? When people hear about MMOP, they’re excited to vote yes! We need your help to get the word out about getting money out of our politics.

Attend or Host a House Party!

Ann Arbor on Tuesday, September 29th
Grand Rapids on Wednesday, September 30th
Metro Detroit on Sunday, October 4th
Or find a house party near you at mobilize.us/mmop, meet other folks are ready to make our state and our democracy work for us again, and find out how you can get involved in your own community!
Don’t see an event near you? Create your own! Hosting is casual, simple, and only involves a 20–30 minute informal program for your friends and neighbors. We provide all the support you need, including a House Party Guide, virtual host orientation, and materials. You can choose to share your event, or keep the party to just friends, family, and neighbors.

If you were collecting petition signatures for months or are new to MMOP, if you’re ready to dedicate multiple days a week or just have a few hours to help, you’re welcome to join our volunteer team to make sure our communities know to vote YES on 2!

The corporations definitely have the money, but we have people power. Now the finish line is in sight - and ballots are going out soon.
