You may have seen emails or social media posts from Clean Water Action or Clean Water Fund recently about “Do Something Big” or “Protect What You Love.”
The underlying sentiment of these phrases is that we all care about clean water and want to see it protected. And right now, the clean water protections we’ve long taken for granted, like the Clean Water Act, are under attack like never before. This is about the water we drink. This is about whether our children and grandchildren will inherit a future of clean water – or dirty water. This is about the precious streams, wetlands and other water resources that are essential for clean water and for our economic and environmental health.
There are two obvious actions any of us can take to “Protect What We Love”:
1. Make a donation — and with year-end fast approaching, many of our supporters want their gifts to be tax-deductible, which means making your contribution to Clean Water Fund.
2. Make your voice heard by joining with others to oppose the reckless “Polluted Water Rule” making its way through the current EPA, held captive by industry-sourced political appointees now in charge of the agency.
Doing Something Big
There's strength in numbers! That’s our secret weapon, something polluters and their allies can never hope to match. There is no gift that is too small to make a difference.
Many of our members tell us they’d like to be able to give more. There are a variety of different ways to give besides just sending a direct donation, and many of these options can make larger gifts possible — and gifts made to Clean Water Fund have the added bonus of being tax deductible!
