Clean Water Action was honored to join over 200,000 people at the People's Climate Movement in Washington DC. Our New Jersey team joined NJ Sierra Club and Bus for Progress in hosting several buses that made the trip from New Jersey to Washington DC. We met so many energized folks, people from every race and age group, who came from all over the country for this one day movement to demand action for climate change and water change. Earth Week Hero - David Tykulsker
"Fighting to leave this world a better place by making the best of what we got," is a driving force behind Clean Water Action's Earth Week Hero, David Tykulsker. David has been at the heart of our organization since he joined the New Jersey Board in the 1980s. In 2005, he became the National Board of Clean Water Action, a position he still holds today. David believes that "our kids should not live in the same mess we are in" and that's why he has spent his life working to protect them. In Memoriam: Senator Ken Donnelly
On April 2 nd, Massachusetts lost a great leader and champion of justice and environmental health, Senator Ken Donnelly. Senator Donnelly was a firefighter of 37 years, former Secretary/Treasurer of the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts and the Senator from Massachusetts’ Fourth Middlesex District since 2009. He died of brain cancer. As a Senator, he was best known for his advocacy on behalf of the mentally ill, union workers, and homeless families.
