Thank your legislator for protecting Amara's Law
In 2023, Minnesota passed Amara's Law, the strongest PFAS prevention legislation in the country. And this year, in 2025, Minnesota lawmakers stood strong and rejected pressure from the chemical industry to carve out dangerous exemptions to this bipartisan legislation. Let’s take a moment to say thank you.
Clean Water in the 2025 Virginia General Assembly
The 2025 Virginia general assembly session was a wild ride. It started with a water crisis in Richmond and a snow storm, and on top of all that the fire suppression system malfunctioned because of the water issues in the General Assembly building, which made it inaccessible for a time. All that together meant a late start to an already short 46 day session, and a new federal administration and uncertainty around federal funding for state projects resulted in even more chaos.
The session maintained the frantic energy it started with. More than 1900 bills were introduced, a total of 917 bills

Last week a film crew from France was in Minnesota. Their goal was to gather information about Amara’s Law. They wanted to understand how Minnesota was able to pass such an impactful law while weaving in the personal stories of those of us who have worked to pass the law and have been impacted by PFAS in one way or another. Our state is setting an example for the world. France, Japan, England, Australia have all reached out to work with us and understand more about Amara’s Law. Now is not the time to slow down—we’re just getting started!
