Clean Water Action is a part of the Waste Free Philly Coalition which developed a five-point agenda to help Philadelphia transform into a city where neighborhoods are litter-free, trash and recycling are properly collected, dumping is a thing of the past, and a low-waste circular economy can thrive. An excessive amount of plastic is used in packaging food and drink containers while leaching toxics into what we eat and drink. We need to put a stop to this. Senate Bill S3398 and Assembly Bill A5009 assign responsibility to the producer to effectively reduce plastic waste used in packaging.
