A Watershed Conservation District for Mattawoman Creek
Update: The County Commissioners voted 3-2 in favor of the Watershed Conservation District! Thank you to Commissioners Murphy, Robinson, and Stewart for voting to limit sprawl development around Mattawoman Creek and the headwaters of the Port Tobacco River! Last year, your overwhelming support passed the Charles County Comprehensive Plan. The plan called for some great things, such as preventing sprawl development around the Mattawoman Creek and the headwaters of the Port Tobacco River through a Watershed Conservation District. I recently graduated from Salve Regina University where I majored in biology with a focus on environmental sciences.
