Why Elections Motivate Me.
Autumn is my favorite season of the year. We’re past the stifling heat and humidity of summer, the changing color of leaves makes my drive to work a rolling rainbow of foliage and my work as a canvasser takes on special significance because, every two years, it’s election season.

I did not really think this is a sentence I would have to write: Donald Trump won a shocking victory yesterday, edging out Hillary Clinton in the electoral college. President-Elect Trump has vowed to abolish the Clean Water Rule and the Clean Power Plan, to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, and to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline. At times, he has even promised to eliminate the entire EPA. We will not let him undo the environmental progress that we’ve made over the last 45 years, and we will work especially hard to preserve

When I first moved to Rhode Island from New Jersey I didn’t know what to expect. I quickly learned that Providence was vibrant and lively with something to do on every corner. Despite its urban nature, I also learned that the people here cared deeply about the environment.

With the election coming up on Tuesday, November 6 th I think it is important to stress why we need voters in the 31 st district to re-elect Rep. Steve Santarsiero. Steve has been a true environmental leader in the PA State House since he was first elected in 2008. On the issue of fracking, which voters in Bucks County are surely well aware of, Steve has been
