Julie served as a Clean Water Action Minnesota board member from 2005-2008 and was active in MERP (Metropolitan Emissions Reduction Project), which focused on reducing the number of coal-fired power plants in the Twin Cities. She left the board to serve on Edina’s Energy and Environment Commission from 2007-2014.
