It’s hard to believe that we’re already in the final months of 2021. This is the time of the year when many of us gather with our communities -- whether they are our family, our friends, or our neighbors. This year I am thinking about another community -- the community of Clean Water members and activists -- and how much people like you matter. 2021 has been a busy year. Making Sure the Clean Water Act Keeps Working
In 1972, the Clean Water Act set a goal of eliminating pollution in our rivers, lakes, streams and bays by 1985. While we’ve made a lot of progress toward this goal, we are certainly not there.
Imagine a Day When We Put Water First
Today, we’re joining more than 1300 other organizations and individuals in the Value of Water Campaign’s “Imagine A Day Without Water.” Imagine a Day Without Water is a national education campaign that brings together diverse stakeholders to highlight how water is essential, invaluable, and in need of investment. Activities include events, resolutions, student contests, social media engagement, and more, all across the country. It’s understandable that our first thought upon hearing the challenge to Imagine a Day Without Water is to think about not having water come out of the kitchen faucet
