2019 Michigan Legislative Scorecard
In 2018, Michigan voters went to the polls and voted overwhelmingly for candidates who promised to clean up our drinking water, hold corporate polluters accountable, end the ongoing threat of Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline, and protect our Great Lakes. So far in the 100th state legislature, positive steps in that direction have been few and far between. Scorecard for the 2018 Lame Duck Michigan Legislative Session
The 2018 lame duck legislative session has moved at a record pace. More than 300 bills were introduced since the midterm elections on November 6th. Lame duck sessions are often used by corporate lobbyists and lame duck lawmakers, no longer accountable to their constituents, to push through wildly unpopular legislation in the final days of the year.
