As an intern, you'll actively engage the public, igniting their passion for critical national and state campaigns to protect clean water, combat climate change, expose the impacts of oil and gas production, and discover safer alternatives to toxic chemicals.

Maria Jensen started her career in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in the electronic waste recycling industry, after receiving a Masters in Global Health from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and publishing research related to mercury contamination from electronic waste in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

Morgan received her bachelor's degree in environmental science in 2024 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a focus on social, political, and economic perspectives. She grew up moving across the Midwest, finally landing in London, England before attending college back home. She now works as the Zero Waste Organizer with the ReThink Disposable project to work with local businesses and institutions across Minnesota with the goal of stopping trash before it starts. Maher Akremi is a dedicated and flexible program manager with more than five years of experience managing programs, initiatives, and expanding networks. He is skilled in leading diverse teams, overseeing complex projects, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and implementing organizational strategies. In his prior role as program manager for the Organizations in Solidarity program he led a network of 300+ organizations and individuals across the US and world in collaboratively grappling with the legacy of racism and white supremacy in the peace and security field.
