Madison joined Clean Water Action in January of 2022. Before their time at CWA, Madison earned a B.S. in Biological Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a M.S. in Environmental Policy and Environmental Education at the University of Michigan.

Madison grew up in Oklahoma and credits their love of the outdoors to their many hours floating the Illinois River and backpacking in the Ozark Mountains. Maria Jensen started her career in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in the electronic waste recycling industry, after receiving a Masters in Global Health from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and publishing research related to mercury contamination from electronic waste in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
