But today, Pittsburgh Water is entering a new era of investment, accountability, community partnership, and safe drinking water. Clean Water Action has been a key part of that transformation.

California is known as a leader in regulating toxic chemicals in products to protect public health and prevent pollution. The end of the year is a great time to review the opportunities and challenges faced by Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund’s Toxics Program in 2025 and how we met them. There were some grave disappointments, but those only provide fuel for future victories.
Statement on the Supreme Court's Decision to Set Aside Affirmative Action in College Admissions
We are deeply disappointed by the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down Affirmative Action programs in college admissions – programs designed to acknowledge and rectify the historical and ongoing systemic barriers faced by marginalized groups. And while Affirmative Action did not completely solve the problem, it did give students of color hope, providing an additional roadmap for them to secure a successful future anchored by a college education.
