We love our partners in our ReThink Disposable program. Those businesses have worked hard to eliminate their use of single-use food ware by switching to reusable food ware, and have also helped to educate their customers about why it is so important to move away from our disposable culture. And we’re crushed that many of these businesses, these friends have been deeply impacted by over the past 6 weeks. But there is something we can do -- work hard for them! 50 years ago, someone had the idea that if we gathered together on a single day, we could show solidarity in our demands to protect and restore our environment, show strength in numbers, and gather comfort from being with like-minded people. Rivers were on fire, people were dying from pollution and everyone was being poisoned by the world around us. Over the next decade, we passed laws that became the bedrock of environmental protection in this country.
