Clean Water Action Applauds Executive Order Restoring Water To All Michiganders
The following statement can be attributed to Mary Brady-Enerson, Michigan Director, Clean Water Action: “Today Governor Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-28 to require water utilities to restore water service to all Michigan residents whose water has been shut off. Clean Water Action thanks Governor Whitmer for taking this important and potentially life-saving action. The Governor understands that having running water in your home is absolutely necessary to ensure all residents can protect themselves and their families and help “flatten the curve” during this unprecedented public health
Minnesotans Meet with Congressional Delegation to Prioritize Great Lakes Protection and Drinking Water
Clean Water Action Minnesota was in DC to talk about and support the GLRI Act of 2019 and advocated for significantly increasing federal funding for clean water and safe drinking water programs. The GLRI Act would provide stability for Great Lakes funding for at least five years, provide secure and stable funding, and will encourage more state and local governments, as well as private businesses, to invest in protection and restoration across the Great Lakes basin.
