Session finally ends in Minnesota with wins for Clean Water!
The Minnesota legislative special session is concluded - and we're happy to announce several victories!
First and foremost: Minnesota will now join a number of other states in banning PFAS in food packaging starting in 2024! PFAS are “forever chemicals” that do not break down in the environment and carry with them health risks like cancer and decreased immune response when people are exposed. As I look back on 2019, there are plenty of times that it would have been easy to get frustrated, throw my hands up, and lose hope. But I didn't -- and Clean Water members and supporters had a lot to do with that.

I have been following water issues in San Joaquin County for a long time because I used to work with Restore the Delta, which focuses on protecting fisheries and farming in the San Francisco Bay-Delta and estuary.
