As I look back on 2019, there are plenty of times that it would have been easy to get frustrated, throw my hands up, and lose hope. But I didn't -- and Clean Water members and supporters had a lot to do with that.
I think I can speak for all of us here at Clean Water Action when I say our members and supporters give us hope and keep us going.
The impact has been huge. Throughout the year, Clean Water members and activists sent messages, mailed letters, signed postcards, and made phone calls. They contacted their federal officials, state legislators, CEOs of major retailers, and other important decision makers. They (and hoepfully you, dear reader) made your opinion heard -- and it made a difference. You also attended rallies and town hall events. Many voted in the off-year elections and helped elect local officials and pass important local policies.
That's a lot of involvement -- and it helped make a statement for our water.
Clean Water members helped push back against the Dirty Water Agenda and hold Members of Congress accountable to their promises. Clean Water members made sure the conversation in Washington DC and state houses and city halls across the country was about prioritizing people and protecting our water and health.
There is a lot more work to do. But right now, all I want to do is say Thank You for your activism, your support, your donations, your membership. We can't do it without you.
Have a happy and restful holiday.
