Three Bridge Alignments Announced for Third Span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge
Maryland recently completed a two-year study on the Chesapeake Bay Bridgethat included three recommendations for new crossings. The state is looking at potential bridges between Pasadena and Rock Hall, between Mayo and Easton, and alongside the current spans between Arnold and Kent Island. These sites, along with a "no build" option will be presented at community meetings throughout Maryland.

Victory! Pittsburgh Enacts Single-Use Bag Ban
Victory! Just in time for Earth Day, Pittsburgh City Council unanimously passed a ban on wasteful single-use plastic bags. The ordinance is expected to reduce distribution of nearly 110 million plastic bags annually and decrease plastic litter. Clean Water Action is grateful to have played a part in making this happen. DC Statehood
DC residents lack basic citizenship rights. Statehood is the only path to equal rights and full citizenship for residents of the District – it is the "unfinished chapter of the civil rights movement." More than 700,000 DC residents deserve to have a voting representative and two senators in Congress along with all the other citizenship rights every other American enjoys.
That is why we support statehood for the District of Columbia and are calling on Congress to make DC the 51st state.
