Sacramento, CA —This week, the legislature made history with the passage of SB 200 and the establishment of the Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund. The Fund provides more than $1.4 billion over the next decade to assist the one million Californians who lack safe drinking water. Polluting Oil Wastewater Facility Finally Closing After Settlement With Environmental and Community Groups
More than two years after agreeing to stop polluting groundwater near Bakersfield, Valley Water Management Company (VWMC) has announced that it has stopped dumping contaminated oil and gas wastewater at its Race Track Hills and Fee 34 facilities.
