We will all breathe easier once New Jersey’s Environmental Justice Law is implemented. Signed by Governor Murphy two years ago, the law gives the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) the power to deny permits to polluting industries that would further harm overburdened communities all across the state. We are still reeling from our conference that happened last weekend, Saturday, April 28th at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School, in Edison. We enjoyed sharing the work we are doing to protect New Jersey’s environment and appreciated learning about the organizing people are doing to make a difference in their communities.
