Our State Budget- Making the Hard Choices to Protect our Water
In early March, Governor Whitmer announced her first state budget proposal. Much of the press coverage of Governor Whitmer’s budget so far has focused on her proposal to increase the gas tax by 45 cents per gallon ovcritical road infrastructure investments. Clean Water Action is working this year in the Minnesota State Legislature to pass a bipartisan bill to make it easier for Minnesotans to get closer to lead free in their homes. We are working to get incentives and tax credits to homeowners who want to replace their lead service line with a safer alternative.
