California Leads on Reducing Methane Emissions
Yesterday, the California Air Resources Board (ARB) adopted the strongest regulations in the country to reduce methane emissions from oil and gas production and storage. Clean Water Action and our allies led the charge to get these regulations in place. Train derailment in Frederick raises the stakes on crude oil in Maryland
Last week, a freight train on its way to the Port of Baltimore derailed in Ijamsville, a small town in Frederick County. Fortunately, although the train was carrying hazardous materials, none of the eight cars that derailed were punctured, and other than disruption to other freight shipments through Maryland, there were no impacts.
