Session finally ends in Minnesota with wins for Clean Water!
The Minnesota legislative special session is concluded - and we're happy to announce several victories! First and foremost: Minnesota will now join a number of other states in banning PFAS in food packaging starting in 2024! PFAS are “forever chemicals” that do not break down in the environment and carry with them health risks like cancer and decreased immune response when people are exposed. We have been working to address the many sources of PFAS contamination and to our environment once PFAS containing packaging is thrown away. We appreciate the work of the original bill sponsors Rep. 2016 had its high points
All across the internet and throughout holiday conversations, everyone seems to be talking about what an awful year 2016 was. Between celebrity deaths and the election of Donald Trump, it definitely had some real black strikes against it. But as I’m looking back on the accomplishments of Clean Water Action in Massachusetts, I’m finding some real reasons to celebrate as well. Here’s a reminder of some of 2016’s better moments! Victories and Challenges in Pennsylvania
Climate change is a hoax. We’re going to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. We’re going to eliminate the Waters of the U.S. rule. We’re going to roll back most of the Obama administration’s environmental policies, including the Clean Power Plan.
