In September 2002, Clean Water Act experts on our staff and among our national allies noticed troubling language in Congressional testimony from several high-ranking EPA staff. It appeared that the Bush Administration was considering a polluter-friendly interpretation of a Supreme Court case. The Dirty Water Rampage in Congress Continues

After approving a laundry list of harmful amendments to a federal agency spending bill the week before last, the U.S. House adjourned until today when they will get right back to work. Up this evening is the “Regulatory Integrity Protection Act” (H.R. 1732). This bill blocks commonsense policy to ensure that all of our nation’s water bodies are protected by Clean Water Act

Surveys were conducted with 95 café owners and 461 customers across San Francisco that sell to-go beverages in disposable cups. The goal of the survey was to determine what current practices and behaviors businesses utilize to incentivize BYO behavior, current consumer habits and reasons, and opinions on future options.
