EPA wants to fix that and has proposed a strong, commonsense rule to protect clean water. Two more things: Polluters hate EPA's Clean Water Rule. Start Oyster Creek cleanup as soon as plant closes

Federal regulators are moving toward increased oversight following an unplanned, emergency shutdown this month after valves that control steam pressure malfunctioned . It was the fifth unplanned shutdown since 2013, and as time goes by for the corroding dinosaur plant, mechanical problems continue to mount. Keeping Plastic Out of the Chesapeake Bay

The Bay is plagued with plastic. Bags are littered across the Bay floor, wreaking havoc on natural ecosystems for crabs and oysters alike. Similarly, plastic microbeads are being found in fish and marine mammals. Plastic bags account for a significant portion of trash and litter pollution in our neighborhood streets, communities, waterways, including rivers and streams that flow into the Chesapeake Bay.
