Terrance was born and reared in Newark, New Jersey. Between 2005 and 2010, Terrance worked as a political operative for the then Mayor and now U.S. Senator, Cory A. Booker, as well as a host of other local, county and state officials. Between 2006 and 2013, Terrance served as a Director of Constituent Affairs for the City of Newark and then Director of the Newark Youth One-Stop Career Center. Since then, Terrance has served as a primary or lead consultant for local and international non-profit organizations including the South Ward Clinton Hill Community Action Group, NewarkDIG, NJ/NY Baykeeper's, Natural Resources Defense Council, Parent Coalition of Excellent Education, and Clean Water Action / Clean Water Fund where he served as Environmental Justice Organizer until 2023.
