We are so very excited to welcome Hanna Nuttall to our team! Hanna is joining our Clean Water family to work on energy efficiency upgrades for residents of Southeastern Massachusetts through Mass Save as part of their Community First Partnership.
Hanna is from Florida and came to Massachusetts to study at Northeastern. There she rose to leadership in student government, becoming Chair of the Sustainability Board and later Vice President. Post-graduation, Hanna worked for Environment Massachusetts where she found advocating for clean energy to be a great fit!
Hanna will be leading Clean Water’s efforts to ensure that the state’s energy efficiency program, Mass Save, reaches underserved populations in five communities in Southeastern Massachusetts: Attleboro, Fall River, and Taunton as well as New Bedford and Westport. Mass Save provides no-cost and heavily discounted energy efficiency upgrades to Massachusetts residents, businesses, and communities. Residents in the state’s wealthier suburbs are utilizing this program at higher rates, even though low and moderate income households would benefit most from the cost savings that come with energy efficiency.
The objective of the Community First Partnership is to increase awareness and measurable participation in energy efficiency offerings among all customers, with an emphasis on renters, limited English proficiency residents, low- and moderate-income residents, and small businesses.
Clean Water will be working with trusted community partners including the Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ) and Clean Air Taunton. Additionally, we plan to partner and work in collaboration with other community leaders such as schools, religious organizations, CAP (Community Action Plan) agencies, and more to spread the word.
Hanna is excited to initiate a positive impact, host community events, and get to know the people of Southeastern Massachusetts. Her work with Mass Save will get people in the pipeline for more home modifications that are better for their wallets, home, and communities as a whole.
