As we reflect on Earth Month, we’d like to take this time to appreciate the Aveda Salons that partnered with us and fundraised for us here in Massachusetts. Aveda is a national hair care company whose salons fundraise at their own accord.
Aveda centers personal care and beautification with 100% post-consumer recycled materials in their packaging. Aveda uses 100% wind and solar power manufacturing and also has programs to reduce waste & water consumption at Aveda's primary manufacturing site. We feel grateful that their company is not only environmentally conscious, but also goes the step further by encouraging their salons to partner with organizations like Clean Water.
Serene Salon & Spa in Holyoke, MA held an impressive raffle! Serene Salon raffled off a service from each of their providers including haircuts, facials, repair treatments, and more to reach every audience at the salon. The raffle also included gift cards to local restaurants—an additional thank you goes out to Comfort Bagel, Fame Lounge/Eatery, and Blue Door Gatherings!
Raina’s Color Studio in Swampscott, Massachusetts held a raffle with the opportunity to win some Aveda products. They are also selling blue hair extensions to support Clean Water.
Puffers Salon and Day Spa in Westfield, Massachusetts raffled off a Day of Relaxation in their Spa, valued at $402! Participants entered the raffle by donating $10 to Clean Water.
Centre Cuts Salon and Day Spa in Roslindale, Massachusetts donated a percentage of their April retail to Clean Water.
Soleil Salon & Spa in Windham, NH. Soleil Salon, a partner of Clean Water since 2012, has hosted a wide range of fundraising activities. They’ve had a bake sale every Saturday and held a basket raffle all month long. On April 30th, Soleil Salon hosted a Cut-a-thon and Spa-a-thon in addition to a Walk-a-thon at Windham Trail.
Partnering with the lovely people at these Aveda salons is so important. For one, every dollar raised is one for a healthier, greener Massachusetts. Furthermore, increasing not only our visibility in Massachusetts but bonds with members of the community boosts and supports us for our future efforts. Lastly, the ability to engage in self-care while also doing good for the planet encourages those who may otherwise only be inclined to engage in one!
