For almost ten years California communities have fought for regulations to protect their families from oil production. The safety of our health and that of our children should be a given, but the truth is, for many that is far from the reality they live in.

As we conclude our celebration of Black History Month, it's important to share how the Environmental Justice movement is rooted in Black History. In a conversation with Vernice Miller-Travis, Vice Chair of Clean Water Action's National Board, she shared her experiences in the Environmental Justice Movement.
