Clean Water Action is currently hiring community organizers to call our existing members and develop long-term sustaining donors for Clean Water Action's environmental work. Our phone team educates members on our work, fundraises, and gets commitments to take action on current campaigns.
Emily Plunkett
Emily first joined Clean Water Action in 2023 as the Office Manager in Ann Arbor, MI then moved to the National Communications team in 2024. Before Clean Water, she received her Master's degree in chemistry with a focus on analytical methods and materials science research. Emily has also volunteered with the Virginia Scientist-Community Interface, co-authoring academic papers, public comments, and technical white papers. Emily has a passion for native plants and sci-fi/fantasy media, and an even stronger passion for her cat, Sharkey.
LeWanda Gipson
Clean Water Action Board of Directors, Secretary Clean Water Fund Board of Directors, Assistant Secretary LeWanda Gipson joined Clean Water Action and Clean Water fund in 2021, bringing new energy and valued expertise to the organization. 20 years of industry knowledge and experience allows LeWanda to oversee day-to-day operations nationwide for the agency with ease. Her track record of increasing revenue and growing the bottom line is evident in her decision making. She is a results-oriented leader who has had tremendous success in finance, human resources, strategic planning, IT management
Mac Glackin
Originally from the East Coast, Mac finished an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Politics at the University of San Francisco. Mac's academic career focused on a balance between the sciences and the humanities. Pairing studies of ecology, GIS mapping, and environmental data analysis with community garden outreach, Environmental Justice, and decolonial lenses on human rights and stewardship. A Bay Area resident, Mac applies these lessons to help in Clean Water Action's mission in Oakland, CA.
