Nichole Keway Biber
Dr. Nichole Keway Biber is a tribal citizen of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (Waganakising Odawa), and is part of the Turtle Clan (Mishiike Dodem). Her family currently resides in East Lansing, where she earned her PhD in English from MSU. Nichole began working for Clean Water Action as the Mid-Michigan Campaign Organizer in September of 2023, in a continuation of her efforts as a Water Protector to Shut Down Line 5. She is motivated to help stand against all such threats to traditional lifeways and the well-being of every community in the Great Lakes water basin and beyond.

Maryanne Roughton
Maryanne joined Clean Water Action in June of 2019 as a Field Canvasser in the Ann Arbor office. Before beginning her work in her current role as Canvass Director, she worked as a Field Manager and Senior Field Manager for the Field Canvass office in Ann Arbor. She received her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College in May of 2021, where her studies concentrated on feminist and environmental economics.

Gabi Sanchez
Gabi split her time growing up between Maryland and Maine where she grew a love of the natural world. She spends most of her free time birdwatching and hiking through the woods photographing plants. She earned her B.S. in environmental science from the University of Maryland and is currently working toward her MPH in environmental health. Before joining Clean Water Action, Gabi taught biology and environmental science in Prince George’s County. She worked with students to design, plant, and maintain a gardening program at Kenmoor Middle School and coached the Envirothon team at Eleanor
TAj Weathers
TAj is a proud lifelong resident of Baltimore County, Maryland. TAj grew up in the beautiful Baldwin area before graduating from the University of Baltimore County, Maryland & University of Baltimore. Before joining the Clean Water Action Maryland team, TAj fueled his passion for operations by working in the C-suite to build startups and restructure organizations. TAj is an avid promoter of youth advocacy, human rights & most importantly environmental sustainability. As Chesapeake Operations Manager, TAj continues his passion for operations and his dedication to important worldwide causes.
