Ian Louda
Ian is a passionate environmental advocate who joined Clean Water as a Field Canvasser in the summer of 2016. He went on to direct the Philadelphia Field Canvass for seven years from 2018-2024 and served as the organization’s Lead Network Canvass Director beginning in 2022.
Ian now works in a multifaceted role. As Legislative Coordinator, he conducts outreach to elected officials in Southeastern PA and assists with Clean Water Action endorsements in state and local races. Mercedes Forsyth
Mercedes is responsible for implementing the ReThink Disposable program in Philadelphia. In this role, she collaborates with a variety of establishments, ranging from family-owned restaurants to music venues and school districts, to establish circular systems that promote sustainability within the food service sector.
Qiyam Ansari
Since joining Clean Water Action in 2019, Qiyam’s work has included grant writing, community organizing, and community education with many partners in the Mon Valley suburbs of Pittsburg.
Courtney Gokmen
Courtney began her work with Clean Water Action as a Canvasser in the Pittsburgh Phone Canvass, eventually becoming the Phone Canvass Verifier and Declines Specialist. In 2019, Courtney took on the additional roll of National Canvass Administrator to help support both the field & phone canvasses nationwide. She also plans and coordinates all logistics for our leadership conferences.
Courtney received a certificate of Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh after undergraduate Studies at Penn State University. She grew up in central PA and spent most summers camping in the Pennsylvania
Ahmad Almakky
Ahmad is originally from Pakistan and has worked on a variety of wildlife conservation, clean energy, and community development projects. As a specialist in community-based approaches, his work focuses on the multifaceted and complex impacts of environmental projects on marginalized and underrepresented groups. Ahmad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Duke University.
