He works with local communities and allies to advance environmental justice through education, advocacy, and community organizing. Mare Carbone
Mare has been with Clean Water Action for 20 years. He has personally raised over $3 Million in member contributions since he started working for the organization. Under his direction, the Oakland Phone Canvass improved its gross by 100%, hitting its first million-dollar year in 2008 and raising between $1.2 and $1.3 Million annually since then. He is currently working as the Western Regional Canvass Supervisor since 2013, which involves supervising our field and phone programs in California, Colorado, Texas, Rhode Island, and Minnesota. Cindy has worked with Clean Water Action since 1994, helping to coordinate a number of coalitions and community-based efforts to reduce pollution and promote an equitable, sustainable economy.
