Every day, we are exposed to toxic chemicals in food, water, the environment, and consumer products. While most Americans assume that products must be tested for safety before they are put on store shelves, many items in stores and in our homes contain chemicals known to be toxic.

Working at Clean Water Action means working with passionate and purpose-driven people who share a common vision: harnessing the power of people to make a difference. As community organizers, it is our job to create effective change through public outreach; educating and empowering people to take action on issues affecting our environment and health. ReThink Disposable Case Study: Bedford Public Schools
Bedford Public Schools, located in Bedford, Massachusetts, serve approximately 2,500 students across four schools. Thanks to a generous donation from PlasticFreeRestaurants.org, the schools’ polystyrene (foam) lunch trays were traded for Ahimsa stainless steel reusable trays.
