Gabi split her time growing up between Maryland and Maine where she grew a love of the natural world. She spends most of her free time birdwatching and hiking through the woods photographing plants. She earned her B.S. in environmental science from the University of Maryland and is currently working toward her MPH in environmental health. Before joining Clean Water Action, Gabi taught biology and environmental science in Prince George’s County. TAj Weathers
TAj is a proud lifelong resident of Baltimore County, Maryland. TAj grew up in the beautiful Baldwin area before graduating from the University of Baltimore County, Maryland & University of Baltimore. Before joining the Clean Water Action Maryland team, TAj fueled his passion for operations by working in the C-suite to build startups and restructure organizations. TAj is an avid promoter of youth advocacy, human rights & most importantly environmental sustainability. As Chesapeake Operations Manager, TAj continues his passion for operations and his dedication to important worldwide causes.
Becky Smith
Becky has worked with Clean Water Action since 2001. Recent projects include assembling a multi-sector network in Massachusetts to support innovative and alternative approaches to integrated water and energy resource management to protect both water and human ecosystems. Her work at the local, state, and federal level includes giving presentations on sustainable options for next generations of infrastructure; support for initiatives such as the Clean Water Restoration Act; and pursuing Clean Water Act protections for waters here in Massachusetts. Emily Ranson
Emily grew up in Maryland, where she cultivated fond memories of playing in the streams and rivers in central Maryland. She received her master of science from Cornell University studying conflict resolution and community-based natural resource management. Emily cut her advocacy teeth with Bike Maryland, working with state and local governments, businesses, and community activists throughout the state to promote a Bike Friendly Maryland.
