With the passing of the recent elections and lame duck session in full swing, it is critical that we continue to pressure NJ’s current elected leaders to address the growing concern of warehouse development. The election may be over, but warehouse development unfortunately is not. Between 2021 and 2024, 100+ warehouses totaling 26.5 million square feet were planned in NJ, according to the State Planning Commission. Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund Welcome Progress on Reduced Lead Risks in Drinking Water
Today's EPA Lead and Copper Rule Improvements proposal includes a requirement for full replacement of all lead service lines in regulated drinking water systems. Under EPA’s proposal, the vast majority of lead service lines, which bring water from the large water main into the home or building, will be replaced within ten years of the new regulation’s implementation. The effort will be supported by $15 billion in targeted funding made possible by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
