Every October, Clean Water Action works with allied environmental organizations here in Pittsburgh to put on a series of events in recognition of National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. As you may know, lead exposure continues to harm families in Pittsburgh, especially in Black communities, where aging housing, schools, and water systems carry the highest risk. This year is no different! This year's lead safe awareness week kicks off tomorrow and goes on until October 25th.

Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund Massachusetts are seeking a full-time hybrid Development Manager to build and strengthen our fundraising program that supports our statewide initiatives. This role will be instrumental in cultivating donor relationships, securing foundation support, and ensuring the financial sustainability of our programs. In Massachusetts, Clean Water’s work focuses on climate justice, environmental health, and equitable access to clean energy, including protecting drinking water, reducing toxic pollution, holding corporations accountable, empowering youth leadership within the environmental justice movement, and advancing pro-environment policies and leadership at every level of government.

Duncan started at Clean Water Action as a summer canvasser in the Ann Arbor in 2022 and developed as a Field Manager then Senior Field Manager in East Lansing. Their work at Clean Water Action is a continuation of their lifelong love of the Great Lakes and deep commitment to the struggle for a more just and equitable society.
Duncan split most of their childhood between South Bend, Indiana and Midland, Michigan before their family ultimately settled in Grand Rapids. They graduated with bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame, where they became
