Waterbury Launches Home Energy Action Campaign for Residents- A Cost-Saving, Home Energy Efficiency Program
The City of Waterbury is excited to announce the kickoff of the Waterbury Home Energy Action (HEA) Campaign, an initiative aimed at helping homeowners and renters cut their energy use, making homes more comfortable while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The city has partnered with local nonprofits, Clean Water Fund, Neighborhood Housing Services of Waterbury, Naugatuck Valley Project, and I Heart My Home.
Leading Michigan Environmental Organizations Release Democracy-Focused Legislative Scorecard
LANSING - Today, Clean Water Action and Sierra Club Michigan Chapter released their legislative scorecard for the 101st Michigan Legislature. In a move unprecedented in the history of either organization they did not score environmentally focused bills, instead scoring bills that would have harmful impacts on our democracy.

Victory! Pittsburgh Enacts Single-Use Bag Ban
Victory! Just in time for Earth Day, Pittsburgh City Council unanimously passed a ban on wasteful single-use plastic bags. The ordinance is expected to reduce distribution of nearly 110 million plastic bags annually and decrease plastic litter. Clean Water Action is grateful to have played a part in making this happen.
