This morning, the Baltimore City Council is holding a hearing on Council Bill 25-0036, legislation to create a Baltimore City Payment in Lieu of Taxes Task Force. As Baltimore considers next year's budget and grapples with significant funding shortfalls, we need large institutions in the City to pay their fair share. Today is the last day to request an absentee ballot if you have not yet received your ballot in the mail. If you have received your ballot, just a reminder that it needs to sent June 2nd. There are official ballot drop off boxes in each county and Baltimore City if you would rather deliver your ballot. If you prefer to vote in person, there are in person voting locations that will be open on Tuesday, June 2nd from 7 AM to 8 PM.
