New Jersey - For the 25th Anniversary of the Russ Berrie Making a Difference Award, an outstanding group of 24 Honorees were recognized from across the state of New Jersey, this year virtually. Among them was Clean Water Action’s very own New Jersey Environmental Justice Director, Kim Gaddy. Ms. Gaddy along with other individuals were selected by the Advisory Board out of a pool of 330+ nominations submitted in 2020 and 2021.

New Brunswick, NJ - Clean Water Action joined with over 24 New Jersey environmental, labor, public works and business leaders for a roundtable discussion led by Congressman Frank Pallone about the Leading Infrastructure for Tomorrow’s America Act, or LIFT America Act. It calls for major investment in drinking water, renewable energy, climate resiliency, public health protections, brownfields redevelopment and broad band access. In a world of an estimated 4700 PFAS chemicals, researching and setting an MCL for each one will be time consuming and expensive. The next step must be to stop doing chemical by chemical approach. It will become an impossible task. There is no time left to protect our health as the dangers are already present in our water supplies, communities and have contaminated our bodies.
