Big Wins to Stop "Forever Chemicals"
We’re celebrating some big wins with our Mind the Store campaign work this fall! This campaign focuses on targeting major retailers and urging them to work with their suppliers to shift away from toxic chemicals in products, including the “forever chemicals” known as PFAS or per and polyfluoroalkyl substances. In 2017, Connecticut’s General Assembly made an outrageous and short-sighted decision to raid $145 million dollars of energy efficiency and clean energy funds and sweep them into the state’s general fund to help plug a fiscal crisis.
More than a thousand CT residents signed petition for energy efficiency and clean energy funds!
Thank you! You joined more than 1000 Connecticut residents who urged Governor Lamont to restore and protect the ratepayer funds that support energy efficiency and clean energy initiatives! That’s real strength in numbers and will make a big difference.
