In the past few years, Clean Water Action and compost advocates across the state have campaigned for the state of Maryland to give more support to schools to compost and rescue usable food. In December, the Maryland State Department of Education opened the first round of grant applications to local schools and school systems. Did you miss it? In November, Jennifer and I had the opportunity to take a storm water tour with Richard Klein, of Community and Environmental Defense Services. In off and on rain, we looked at the health of two different sections of streams and looked at two different storm water facilities.
