The Texas Legislature wrapped up its 89th session on June 2nd. From environmental protections to classroom behavior to landowner rights, oil field blowouts, and so much more, few areas of Texans’ lives and livelihoods went untouched. Clean Water Action and our environmental allies view the 89th session as, on balance, positive. On October 11 th Clean Water Action, along with 14 other environmental organizations coordinated by the Environmental League of Massachusetts, invited current Governor Charlie Baker and his opponent in his bid for re-election, former Massachusetts Secretary of Administration and Finance Jay Gonzalez, to the Museum of Science for a public forum on current environmental issues.
