Kate first got involved with Clean Water in 1983, working as a canvasser in the Washington D.C. office. She held several different jobs at Clean Water Action, including Field Manager, Assistant to the Director David Zwick, and Canvass Administrator. Moving to Grand Rapids in 1996, she works for a small software company and is active with Clean Water Action’s Michigan office. Kate has served as chair of the Clean Water Action Board since 2018.

Mac Glackin
Originally from the East Coast, Mac finished an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Politics at the University of San Francisco. Mac's academic career focused on a balance between the sciences and the humanities. Pairing studies of ecology, GIS mapping, and environmental data analysis with community garden outreach, Environmental Justice, and decolonial lenses on human rights and stewardship. A Bay Area resident, Mac applies these lessons to help in Clean Water Action's mission in Oakland, CA.
Jennifer Schlicht
Jennifer began her work with Clean Water Action as a canvasser in our Ann Arbor, Michigan office. After working as a field and office manager, she began working on our National Communications team in 2020 and moved to her current role of Michigan Communications Manager in 2025.
Jennifer also volunteers in the local community for voting access and rights, as a Legal Observer, an English conversation tutor and welcoming volunteer for refugee families, and with environmental conservation and education projects as a Michigan Conservation Steward and Master Rain Gardener.
