On September 21, the Maryland Department of the Environment held a public hearing to conclude a nearly two-year process to update air pollution regulations for municipal waste incinerators in Maryland: the BRESCO facility in Baltimore, and the Dickerson facility in Curtis Bay. Waste is a design flaw! This was the message at the 5th Annual Zero Waste Youth Convergence (ZWYC) in San Francisco. Zero Waste Youth is an international organization that engages students and professionals to promote concepts for a zero waste future through waste reduction, reuse, and recycling.
