The Fruits of Our Labor: Recent Clean Water Action Victories in Rhode Island
Being a canvasser for Clean Water Action is an inherently fulfilling job. We are able to educate people on important issues, facilitate residents communicating with their elected representatives, and take part in a struggle that is much bigger than any of us as individuals. However, it can also be a tough job dealing with inclement weather, the occasional less than supportive person, and a ton of walking. Stop Watching the Clock
I've worked for Clean Water Action for 7 years. It's safe to say I like my job, the people that I work with, and this organization. A few weeks ago I had a moment where all of those thoughts popped into my head.
It is Time to Start Talking About our Hidden Infrastructure (and unhiding some if it, too)
There is more to infrastructure than just the stuff we can see, and those hidden systems are just as critical to our way of life as our transportation network. Unfortunately, they are largely ignored in public discussions about infrastructure. This is especially true for our combined stormwater and sewer systems.
